Heal, Create, Thrive: Peru, Don’t Fence Me In (click title for post)

What is the balance between preparation, planning and letting go while following the energy?

This morning, talking with Susan Boras, I drew the analogy of learning to play the piano scales so when it was time to improvise, I can boogie!

The Sufi’s say “Pray to God and tie up your camel.” To me this means – Have faith and take actions that increase your chances of success.

Someone suggested I place an agenda on this trip as a way to decide xyz. My stomach tied up in knots. Heavy. To me, that would take away my presence of each moment and lay an underlying process over each day. No thanks.

My Dad is a cowboy and taught me a song, “Don’t Fence Me In” – I like that –

“I want to ride to the ridge where the west commences
Gaze at the moon until I loose my senses
I can’t look at hobbles and I can’t stand fences.”

Don’t fence me in” Sing it Roy! (songs starts at 1:05)
